Apple Pie

Ingredients

2 bottoms and 2 tops of pie shells Dough 2000

14 apples

65 mL (1/4) cup butter

125 mL (1/2) cup maple syrup

250 mL (1 cup) brown sugar

5 mL (1 teaspoon) cinnamon

2 pinches of nutmeg

30 mL (6 tsp.) cornstarch

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Peel apples and cut into quarters (to taste)
  3. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat
  4. Add apple wedges and let brown for 2 minutes
  5. Add maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar to the pan and mix well. Stir for 1 minute
  6. Remove mixture from heat and add cornstarch
  7. Divide mixture evenly between 2 pie shells Pâte 2000
  8. Close by adding the Pâte 2000 pie tops and seal around the edges
  9. Make small holes with the tip of a knife
  10. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour until golden brown
