Smoked duck, pear and maple syrup pizza

Ingredients

1 Pâte 2000 plain pizza crust

1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil

1/4 lb (115 g) brie cheese, sliced

1 small pear, sliced

3 slices duck breast, cut into 2

1/4 cup (50 ml) pecans

Approx. 1/4 cup (50 ml) maple syrup

1 fig, cut into 6 wedges

Lamb’s lettuce or arugula leaves

Salt and pepper

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine pecans and 1 tablespoon of maple syrup.
  3. Heat in oven for 5 minutes on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Brush the edge of the crust with olive oil and garnish crust with brie cheese.
  5. Divide pear slices (brush with maple syrup), pecans and duck. Bake in oven 12-14 minutes.
  6. Remove the pizza from the oven and garnish with greens and figs.
  7. Salt and pepper. Drizzle with maple syrup if desired.
